Dr. Dre handcuffed and detained outside his home - reports

Dr. Dre was reportedly handcuffed and detained outside his home after he was accused of “pointing a gun” at a motorist.

Police in Los Angeles‚ say they were called to the Beats entrepreneur’s home in Malibu on Monday to reports of a man “brandishing a firearm.”

When they arrived‚ a driver alleged Dre pulled out a gun and ordered him to move his car from the end of his driveway.

In a press release‚ the Los Angeles police said Dre was “searched‚ handcuffed‚ and briefly detained in a patrol car” while they investigated‚ adding that he was “cooperative with investigating deputies‚ consented to a search of his person‚ and denied all allegations regarding the handgun.”

According to Dre‚ the alleged victim was parked directly in front of his home and blocking his driveway‚ and he asked him to leave. He said the motorist drove a short distance down the road‚ but came back a short time later and did the same thing.

He further claimed that he pulled out his cellphone to film the incident and the person drove away. He denied threatening him.

Police confirmed they found no weapon at the scene‚ the rapper was not taken into custody‚ and that no arrests were made.
