On any given Friday, you can hear Skumba tickle your funny bone through the airwaves in the morning.

Skhumba is a stand up and resident comedian on Bob Mabena’s 180 with Bob on Kaya FM.

Skhumba Hlophe is from Tembisa and he sat down with our sister publication BD LIVE in an interview where confessed that comedy happened to him.

Hlophe talks about his humble background in the interview. He does so  in his customary honest yet hilarious way. He makes reference to the fact that people don’t take him seriously then relays the sad story of his grandfather passing and how family members didn’t believe him at first.

Hlophe also states that he finds inspiration for his material everywhere, and he goes on to list the many things that he can use.

“If I’m still alive I will never run out of things to talk about.” He says.
