Afrotraction has capped off a glorious musical year with a momentous personal milestone.

The 32-year-old crooner, whose real name is Mzwandile Moya, threw a traditional bash to bring his family and his wife Khosi's family together after five years of marital bliss and a Western style celebration.

The wedding ceremony stretched over three days and Afrotraction could not attend the star-studded SA Music Awards at Sun City on Sunday.

"I was forced to miss the event because I did not want to leave my guests," he said.

He won Best R&B/Soul/Reggae album for his third release For The Lovers.

Afrotraction shared some personal moments of how he was swept off his feet by Khosi. "She was an aspiring singer and I was supposed to launch her into the professional scene, instead we went further than that," he laughed.

The couple share their home in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, with their three children.

The Angeke hitmaker is known for serenading his fans with love songs in Swati. He watched the Samas on television and said: "I worked hard on this project and I was expecting it to do well. The God we pray to delivers miracles. Next stop is the Grammys."
