Bucie hits back at Heavy-K for criticising her acceptance speech

South Africa’s Princess of House Bucie has hit back at her critics who have been questioning her award speech.

This comes after Heavy-K took to Twitter to complain about the singer not mentioning him in her acceptance speech.

Bucie was crowned the Best Female of the Year at the 21st SAMA Awards at the Superbowl in Sun City on Sunday.

“I’m very excited, a lot of people say it’s been a long time coming but I feel like it was gonna come at the right time, back then wasn’t the right time. Obviously I wasn’t where I was supposed to be back then, so I had to work a little bit more to be here today,” she said.

Heavy-K, the Drumboss said that he feels Bucie should have thanked him for his contribution on their hit song, Easy To Love.

The Princess of House said that people must realise that the award was not for a single song but for all the work she has been putting in throughout the year.

“It was an award for Bucie as an artist because I have been in the industry for song long," she said.

“It was Female Artist of the Year, it wasn’t Best Female Song, or Best Female Album, but Female Artist, it’s the work that I have been doing, work that I have been putting in, in my craft like waking up everyday, going to studio, going to shows, shooting videos.

“So now I finally got awarded for that. That’s what Best Female artist award is about, I do not get what is going on, I am really confused,” explained the songstress.

Bucie went on to thank her loyal fans who have been supporting her from when she started her singing career.

“I feel like I’m one of the weirdest people ever, I have the best fans in the world. My fans carried me through all these years an award for me was the last thing on my mind.

“One thing I’ve always wanted to do was to make sure that we produce good music that lasts, and music that my fans can listen to and even after ten years they can still listen to the same song and feel like they just started listen to it just now.”

She is currently working on a new album “Easy To Love – Princess of House” which she says is a continuation of her craft as the Princess of the house genre.

“My album (Easy To Love Princess of House) is coming out and I hope they do love it and I’m just gonna keep doing what I’ve been doing. I’m gonna keep growing every year, there’s no slowing down.”

“The only difference is the quality of the voice, the quality of the music because its different years and every year there’s a new sound coming in. There’s always an upgrade when it comes to softwares,” she said.
