Nomzamo veers into music

After successfully hosting a travel show on SABC 1, actress Nomzamo Mbatha is now getting into the music world, with a new television show on Trace Sport Star channel.

For next month only, every Friday Mbatha will host World Music on the channel that sees sport meeting lifestyle.

Her show honours World Music Day, which is on June 21, by drawing attention to some of the biggest music stars and emerging talents from the world's urban scene.

"I was approached by the people at Trace, after they had seen some of the work I had been doing on Holiday Swop. and I guess the rest is history. I'm really excited about it," she enthused.

Mbatha has an omnipresence on local TV, starring inIsibaya on Mzansi Magic, did Holiday Swop on SABC1 and e.tv's Umlilo, which ended on Monday.

"I felt a little overworked at the beginning of the year when I was adjusting to all the different shows, but I feel I've gotten used to the work. I've made it work and my body has adjusted."

Umlilo, which received rave reviews in its first season will return to screens only in August.

Tell Me Sweet Something, the film in which she co-stars with Maps Maponyane, will be released soon.
