Big Brother: Time for the passengers to step off

ON Sunday, Africa's biggest reality television show - Big Brother Hotshots - completes five weeks, with 10 contestants having rejoined the real world.

Up to three of five housemates nominated on Monday face eviction this week.

Ugandan Ellah, Permithias and Frankie from Namibia, South African Nhlanhla, Trezagah from Mozambique and Zimbabwean Butterphly are up for eviction one, two or three of these are likely to join the ranks of those who have already been sent packing.

Nominees whose inclusion in the list of candidates to be booted out is not surprising are Frankie, Trezagah and Butterphly.

This trio - together with Macky2 and Malawian Mr 265 - have been virtual passengers in this show.

It will not come as a surprise when Frankie, Trezagah and Butterphly join the latest evictees, Ghana's Kacey Moore, Namibia's Louis and Arthur from Rwanda.

Those who might survive are Nhlanhla and Permithias, as they are the show's enjoyable and enduring studs, along with Tanzanian Idris and JJ from Zimbabwe.

But someone ought to ask Nhlanhla, Nigerian Tayo, Permithias and Idris to be wary of JJ, the man who still seems set to win the coveted Big Brother Hotshots prize.

His self-preservation strategies appear to include manipulation, hypocrisy and intimidation.
