The boss in the hip hop game Khuli Chana is set to perform at the African Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimma Awards) in Texas this weekend.

The Tswa daar’ award winning artist will not only be representing SA through performance but he has also been nominated for Best Male Southern Africa where he is listed against Donald and AKA.

Chana is sweltering with excitement as he counts down to the awards taking place July 26.

The event will be hosted by International Celebrity Comedian, Basket Mouth along with Nollywood actress, Juliet Ibrahim.

The Motswako rapper shared his excitement on Twitter as he tweeted: “Five more days till I go rock the Afrimma Awards…”

“Be careful of what you ask for, because you just might get it. We taking over Texas, Dallas,” he tweeted and shared a picture on instagram.

The Afrimma Awards organised by Big A entertainment pride themselves in creating a platform that promotes the diversity of African music by bringing influential artists from different African countries for a night of celebration.

Other South African musicians nominated include Lira, Zahara, Toya De Lazy for Best Female Southern Africa.

Mafikizolo has been nominated for Best African group as well as Video of the year.

Dj Cndo made it as a nominee for best DJ Africa.

Grammy Award winning artist Tpain is set to perform at the Afrimma this weekend.

Mafikizolo will not be attending the event but fans can catch them on Sunday at the Really Good Weekends event at the Theatre of Marcellus, Emperors Palace.
