Dineo Moeketsi hits back at 'haters'

Sexy Dineo Moeketsi will not allow followers on social media to feed their negativity on her social pages.

Vuzu presenter and singer tired of people ranting about her weight loss and being nasty on social media and decide to do something about it.

This comes after she shared a picture on instagram showing off her progress on dropping a few kilos and followers posted ugly comments.

Sowetan Live caught up with the pretty Dineo to chat about the incident.

Moeketsi says it’s about time that celebrities and personalities stand up for themselves and put a stop to social media abuse by fans.

“I think we should stand up for ourselves, whether we are getting crushed about weight lose or recognition.”

“There is no need to hate, I don’t understand why women want to keep pulling each other down over another’s hard work.

“I am not going to sit there and be sad, if I’m skinny, I am taking out the African woman in me. So what?!”

Moeketsi always had issues with her weight and made it a point to make an effort to drop a few pounds to get the body she would feel more comfortable in.

Since last year the 25 year old has been stepping out of her comfort zone to reach her fitness goal.

“It’s tough to look at yourself in the mirror and point out what is wrong with you and do something about it. I am only sharing my progress of how far I’ve come since last year April.”

“I am not imposing on someone to be like me, it’s a joyous thing to reach a goal. I always wanted to lose a few kilos,” she says.

She says often women who are feeding their negativity are those who are not content and should push harder to succeed.

“Find something that will validate you. Something that will leave you content with yourself, when you’re negative it portrays some lack of satisfaction,” she says.

Moeketsi feels she needs to lose 3kgs more to have her desired look and will not gain pounds over people’s disapproval.
