Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith are selling their dream home in California for $42 million, despite spending seven years building the mansion and moving in just two years ago.

The Hollywood A-list couple have quietly listed their 25,000-square-foot compound in the Santa Monica Mountains, located near Calabasas in Los Angeles County, California, despite only moving into the home in 2011, according to The Real Estalker blog.

The couple - who have been married for 16 years - decided to build their dream house from the ground up and it's thought construction on the extravagant property took seven years to complete.

The property boasts a custom closet, a meditation lounge, a private cinema, a recording studio, an artificial lake and a basketball court - Will, 44, and Jada, 41, had a heavy hand in the design of the mansion and the 'After Earth' actor revealed that he chose a circular floor plan as an ode to his wife, ''to create an infinite cycle that represented what Jada and I hoped for our love''.

The celebrity couple - who live in the home with their famous offsprings, Jaden, 15, and Willow, 12 - appear to be downsizing their property portfolio after quietly selling their seven-acre Hawaii vacation home on the island of Kuaui for a reported $20 million.
