A spokesperson for the actress, 26, issued a statement on Sunday (14.07.13), saying: ''We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time.'' A source close to the brunette beauty also told HollywoodLife.com: ''She [Lea Michele] is absolutely hysterical and completely inconsolable. She is devastated beyond belief.'' Lea supported Cory when he voluntarily checked in to rehab in March for a month to seek help after he was reportedly led astray and started drinking and taking drugs at parties at his Hollywood Hills home.
She also publicly voiced her support for him at the time saying: ''I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision.'' Cory, who first went to rehab when he was 19, made his first red carpet appearance alongside Lea since completing his treatment in April at the 12th annual Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles last month, where she told reporters, ''I think he looks great, doesn't he? He's the best.''
