'Ted' and 'Django Unchained' lead the MTV Movie Award nominations with seven nods each

The comedy and the Western epic both have seven nods apiece, which will see them go up against each other for Movie of the Year and Best Fight, while 'Silver Linings Playbook' scored six nominations and 'The Dark Knight Rises' secured five.

'Ted' star Mila Kunis is up for Best Female Performance alongside Oscar-winning 'Silver Linings Playbook' actress Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway in 'Les Miserables', Emma Watson in 'The Perks of Being A Wallflower' and Australian comedian Rebel Wilson, who will host the show on April 14, for her performance in 'Pitch Perfect'.

Anne's co-star Eddie Redmayne is up for Breakthrough Performance, while Jennifer's costar Bradley Cooper will battle it out with Ben Affleck ('Argo'), Daniel Day-Lewis ('Lincoln'), Jamie Fox ('Django Unchained') and Channing Tatum ('Magic Mike') for Best Male Performance.

The 22nd annual awards ceremony announced two new categories this year including Best Shirtless Performance, which will see Channing go head to head with 'Twilight Saga' actor Taylor Lautner, James Bond star Daniel Craig, 'The Dark Knight Rises' actor Christian Bale and Seth MacFarlane's cuddly teddy bear character Ted.
