In the first guy/girl Idols Final in three Seasons, Durban's Khaya will go up against Melissa from Port Elizabeth

Witbank's Monde Msutwana is out of the Idols competition after getting the least votes in the Top 3 - but says he's got many exciting plans for the future.

"Reaching the Top 3 is an experience I feel everyone should go through. I feel very happy and excited. I’m content with the results, for me, reaching the Top 3 is an achievement," he said, in answering M-Net viewers questions.

Asked if coming this far in the competition is a loss or a win, in terms of making it in the music industry, Monde replied: "It's a loss because I don’t get the money but it's a win because doors have opened up and I firmly believe in working hard for my money. So to me, it’s a win".

Monde said he has high hopes for his career.

"I want to achieve a lot of things. First is the album coming out early next year. Secondly, I want to get into acting. Thirdly, I want to do voice-overs. Fourth, I want to be a vocal producer. Fifth, I want to build an empire. So there are a lot of things I can be grateful for from this Idols experience."
