Biggest, deepest ocean

THE average depth of the Pacific Ocean is 4300m, which means that along with being the largest ocean it is also the deepest.

It also contains the world's deepest place: the Mariana Trench.

It is so deep that if Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain, were placed inside the trench its peak would be more than 2km underwater! -
