After the cancellation of two performances in South Africa , American singer Carl Thomas is finally heading for Mzansi for the first time ever.

Thomas will perform at the Coca-Cola Dome on September 29. He will share the stage with R&B musicians Avant and Tank.

The musician, known for his romantic sounds on hit tracks such as Emotional, sent social networks into a frenzy last month when his highly publicised one-night only performance at the Sun City Superbowl was cancelled.

Monte Modisenyane of Label Monte, who was the organiser of the Bloemfontein show and now the Johannesburg one, said this time Thomas was definitely coming. The show is also confirmed on Thomas' website.

"We had to cancel the show in Bloemfontein because it did not attract the desired number of ticket sales. For us and Carl it did not make business sense to continue with the show, so we decided to reschedule it for Johannesburg," Modisenyana said.

Thomas confirmed to Sowetan that he would definitely be coming to South Africa.

" I confirm that Avant, Tank and I will indeed perform in South Africa. We will be touching down on South African soil on September 26," he said. Thomas has also performed with P Diddy.
