MarcAlex once again take center stage with their brand new double disk release entitled “Looking Back – The Very Best Of MarcAlex".
The Rantseli Brothers – Marc & Alex burst onto the R&B/Pop scene in the late 80’s with their smash hit single Quick Quick, catapulting the brothers to instant stardom and achieving multiple Top 10 Smash Hit Singles in South Africa. The duo continued through the 80’s and 90’s with numerous hit singles as well as artist collaborations including Hugh Masekela and Vicky Sampson.
The brothers also enjoyed international acclaim from PWL/Stock Aitken & Waterman who remixed both hit singles Quick Quick & Boys Be Boys – both of which were released in South Africa & internationally. The PWL remixes are also featured on their new collection.
MarcAlex went back to the studio in late 2011 to re-record Quick Quick, & Boys Be Boys, but ended up delivering a 6 remixes from their hit list plus a brand new song featuring Jason Rantseli.
The re-make of Quick Quick remixed by Afrotraction – in the jazz style of George Benson & early Jonathan Butler is already gaining major airplay across key national and regional stations while the duo continue to re-invent themselves across all media platforms.
Looking Back – The Very Best Of MarcAlex boasts a 2CD set, including all of the original smash hits plus 4 new Afrotraction Remixes ‘Quick Quick’, ‘Boys Be Boys’, ‘Enjoy’ and ‘I Want My Baby’, a brand new track entitled Nobody Baby featuring Jason Rantseli as well as 2 remixes by Kris J ‘Never Never & Tomorrow’.
MarcAlex have enjoyed almost 3 decades in the music industry and are set to soar yet again with their latest offering.
