Hardened crawlies suited to dry desert

DID you know that many insects and animals live under the desert floor?

Arachnids, for example, which have hard outer coverings called exoskeletons. These exoskeletons help trap moisture in their bodies, which makes them well-suited to the hot desert.

Arachnids include spiders and scorpions and they get water from the animals they eat. -
