Yes clean up after you

YOU might have read a sign at a nature reserve: "Take only photos, leave only footprints."

The idea behind it is that you should not interfere with the environment by picking flowers or collecting stones. You can take this a little further by going by the adage,"Leave everything better than you found it".

The great thing about this is that it applies to more than just campsites and parks, you can also apply it to houses and people you might become involved with.

If you try to always leave the things you come into contact with in a better state than you found them, things can only get better.

Next time you have a picnic or braai in a public space, take the time afterwards to clean up - and leave it the way you would like to find it next time. Going Green, Penguin
