LOTTO and PowerBall presenter and former Jam Alley star Nimrod Nkosi says his new part in M-Net's The Wild will keep him on his toes.

Nkosi is set to star in The Wild for a couple of episodes.

He will play Norman, "a sleek, hard-boiled, tough-as-nails lawyer".

"Norman is the direct opposite of the friendly Lotto guy television audiences have come to admire and love," said The Wild casting director Russel Savadier said.

Nkosi has tackled some challenging parts in the past.

"Playing a headstrong and respectable character is something I enjoy, Nkosi, who has played the part of a lawyer before, said.

"My character in The Wild will certainly keep me on my toes."

The Wild portrays an affluent community and is very inspirational.

The story revolves around three families - the Lebones, the Van Reenens and the Tladis.

Because of past conflicts the families struggle to negotiate a cohesive future but they are bound together because of their relationship to a piece of land.

Norman is caught up in a Tladi family feud involving a disputed will.

The Wild has been running for the past eight months.

One of the most recognisable faces in South Africa, Nkosi has extensive television experience that began in 1994 with uBambo Lwami.

He is also a motivational speaker and is able to communicate effectively in isiZulu, isiXhosa, seSotho, English and Afrikaans.
