Generous Jay-Z PLUS Beyonce talks kids

Jay-Z left a $50,000 tip for waiters at the release party for his 'Watch the Throne' album

The 'Otis' rapper – who teamed up with Kanye West on the new record– spent a grand total of $250,000 on champagne at the party, which was held at Miami's Fontainebleau resort.

At one point during the celebration, four muscle-bound men reportedly carried in a golden ice bucket holding 20 bottles of Armand de Brignac champagne.

Jay also splashed out $95,000 on a 15 litre bottle of Armand de Brignac's special Ace of Spades bubbly.

A witness said: "It takes two people to serve the champagne due to the size and weight of the bottle!"

Both the resort and Ace of Spades are name-checked on the 'Watch the Throne' track ' Primetime'. Among Jay's party guests were DJ Clue, Ne-Yo and Kim Porter.

Unfortunately neither his wife, Beyonce Knowles, not Kanye could appear at the party as the former was performing in New York and the latter was out of the country.

A source said: "Jay Z was well behaved and laid low all night on a banquette with his entourage of boys.”

The '99 Problems' hitmaker is not the only celebrity to leave a generous tip; earlier this year Johnny Depp thrilled staff at a British pub when he left $1,150 in tips, and in February actor Brendan Fraser left a $60 tip after getting a $16 pedicure.

Jessica Simpson is also known for her generosity, leaving a $300 tip for the $500 bill at New York Italian restaurant Lavo, accompanied by a note to her waitress, reading: "You were amazing and make this world a better place, Love Jess".

  • Beyonce Knowles is now hoping to "dedicate herself" to having children.

The 'Best I Ever Had' hitmaker – who is married to rap mogul Jay-Z – had the "energy and drive" to put her all into her career when she was younger, but she is now keen to focus on starting a family.

She told US Style magazine: "When you're young - 18 or 19 - you have the energy and drive. That's the time to work as hard as you can.

"Now I'm a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children."

The 29-year-old star – whose sister Solange has a six-year-old son, Julze – previously admitted she doesn't feel mature enough to start her own family yet, and the birth of her sibling's child "traumatised" her.

She said: "I know I want kids but I have never been a girl who sees a baby and goes, 'Oh! I want one!' But when I do eventually have a child, I can only pray he is as amazing as my nephew Julze. He's just the best. He is also a lot of work!

"I've seen the reality of having a kid and I know I'm not quite ready for it yet. I have a nephew, my sister's son and I was there in the delivery room when he was born.

"I had begged my sister, 'Please don't make me because it's going to traumatise me'. But she talked me into it - and I was right! I'm scared of that! I mean, it was amazing and I cried when he was born but it's hard."
