Generations bitch says there's still more to come

MINENHLE Dlamini's phone has not stopped ringing since her bitchy Generations character, Miranda, slept with playboy Ajax a few weeks ago

Dlamini says her friends cannot believe that she allowed herself to play such a character.

Miranda, the sexy "bad girl", slept with Ajax after a night out drinking. Ajax has since regretted sleeping with her and is worried about his girlfriend finding out.

But the lovely actress, who made her first appearance on the small screen barely a year ago on SABC1's music show Live, says close friends think the character puts her in a bad light.

"It was as if they never saw people kissing on television. It has been crazy, I have to keep telling them that they should not confuse me with the character I play," she said

"My brother said he had to close his eyes. But it was my first time, they will get used to it."

Though the character is going to be short-lived, with about four episodes left, Dlamini says she is overwhelmed to have acted in the country's top soapie to launch her career and hopes for many more roles.

"It's a challenge and pleasure for me to play a character who is completely opposite to what I am.

"The character exposes the reality of what young people get up to under the influence of alcohol," she said.

Dlamini's star has been rising since she burst on to the entertainment scene. In a Sowetan Live online poll, Dlamini was voted one of South Africa's top 12 sexiest women.

She said a local movie was also in the pipeline early next year, but she could not reveal more details about it just yet.
