Sage sees no Europe growth

LONDON - British software company Sage Group says trading conditions in mainland Europe have toughened since April, resulting in no sign of the improvement in growth

The company says, however, that better trading in North America quarter-on-quarter and good growth in Britain and Ireland were helping keep it broadly on track.

Chief executive Guy Berruyer said yesterday the group remained cautious on the outlook for Europe and watchful of the region's economic climate.

Sage said it was seeing stronger growth in South Africa and Australia.
