Banks remain stable

THE financial results of South Africa's four major banks - Absa, First Rand, Nedbank and Standard Bank - for the six months ended December 31 2011 are a positive reflection of the industry's financial health.

 The banks have remained stable, despite the recent global economic uncertainty, according to a report issued yesterday by Professional Services Firm PwC. -
