Lack of broadband fibre is costly

OUTDATED policies are stalling the roll-out of fibre for broadband, which is proving costly, according to Dark Fibre Africa.

Speaking at the Southern Africa Telecommunication, Networks and Applications Conference in East London, Gustav Smit, the company's CEO, said it was a slow and costly process to put fibre into the ground.
