Head coach of the SA U20 Team (Amajita), Shakes Mashaba, has called on the South Africans to rally behind the squad.

The team will be playing their second leg qualifier of the 2015 African Youth Championship (AYC) against Cameroon on  Sunday, 31 August in Polokwane.

Amajita played to a credible 1-1 draw in the first leg at the Stade Omnisports Ahmadou Ahidjo in Yaounde, Cameroon.

“It was a tough game as expected. They were strong in the first 10 minutes of the game, but we should have scored after that as we had two clear chances,” said Mashaba

“Our boys did very well to come back with a draw,” he added

“It is also important to note that it has been some time since our national teams put smiles on the faces of the people, and I believe this is the right time to do that. We say to them come in numbers to cheer these boys to give them some boost and make our lives easier so that we can qualify for the AYC.”
