Convicted rapist kwaito star Sipho Ndlovu‚ 37‚ famously known as “Brickz“‚ says he is currently smoking weed while in prison to keep him calm.

In a social worker report‚ the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court heard the Tjovitjo hit maker has been singing his yet-to-be-released music to inspire inmates. Ndlovu’s sentencing is under way in the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court for raping his niece in 2013.

However‚ in the report presented this morning‚ Ndlovu still maintains that he is innocent.

His lawyer Pieter du Plessis asked the court to deviate from a minimum sentence and impose 10 years.

In mitigation‚ Du Plessis says Ndlovu is a positive human being.

“In the sentencing this court should decide whether he is a kind of person who the society should be protected from. The court should satisfy the interest of the society‚ not satisfy the outcry of the community‚” he said.
