Selimathunzi presenter, Lunga Shabalala, says he had to set the record straight that he is not gay and he did not sleep his way to the top.

In an interview with etv’s Nicky Greenwall, Shabalala said he is not gay.

“There’s a rumour that I am gay and I slept my way to the top,” he said.

In response to the malicious rumors the former Calvin Klein Model said he has found humour in all the allegations.

“All you can do is just kinda laugh at it because if they writing you still relevant, they writing nonsense, but they’re write it because people still want to read about you.”

Some years ago there were reports that the hunk had slept with director Baby Jo(e) to leverage his way to the top.

The 25-year-old’s love life has been under scrutiny; he was rumoured to being bisexual, gay and a womanizer all at once.

“I have laughed at these situations where one person says I am gay and the other says I sleep with five girls a week. In my head I’m thinking, guys can we pick one because I can’t be both, it just don’t make sense,” he said.

For a while Lunga was spotted with channel O presenter Naomi Noinyane; even posing in the famous Kim and Reggie Bush press-up.

Whether he is single or not, we currently don’t know.
