Veteran actor Sello Maake Ka-Ncube is set to face off with Shona Ferguson's anti-hero character JB in the new season of Rockville.

Renowned for his role as the villainous Daniel/Lucas Nyati on etv soapie Scandal, Maake Ka-Ncube will cause trouble for JB when the new season of the Mzansi Magic hit drama returns for its fourth season on Sunday, 10 July.

Maake Ka-Ncube will play the new villain in town Rolex. He is not the only new face on the show.

Sophie Ndaba's ex-husband and actor Themba Ndaba - noted for his acting stints in Hopeville, The Road and Soul City - will play crooked police officer Ngema.

Another famous ex joining the show happens to be Andile Ncube's former partner Ayanda Thabethe. She will portray sultry temptress Aliyah.

Gail Mabalana will reprise her role as Vicky following her absence from the last season.

Connie Ferguson return as matriarch Mavis and Boitumelo 'Boity' Thulo as heroine Mpho.

"The theme this season is ‘journeys to redemption’. Mavis tries to redeem broken family bonds, while JB, who has lost everything, is desperate to reconnect with loved ones in the midst of startling historic revelations,” Reneilwe Sema, M-Net’s Head of Drama explained in a statement.

"This season is set apart from previous editions, in that we now have two main villains, whose paths eventually cross – making for some intense clashes."
