Goodbye to Eddie Makhosonke Zondi - PHOTOS
Thousands of fans and friends have gathered at the University of Johannesburg in Soweto to say goodbye to Metro FM DJ Eddie Makhosonke Zondi.
The legendary radio personality passed away on Monday June 16.
At his memorial on 19 June at the Standard Bank Arena, he was remembered for his love of music and many said Sundays will never be the same without his voice on his show the Romantic Repertoire.
His widow, Phakamile wrote a letter to the veteran saying that while she is "terrified" at having to live without him, she will make sure his legacy lives on in their children.
He leaves behind his wife Phakamile and three daughters.
Phakamile wrote: "Many are saying I should give it time and I will be fine.
"But I don't know if I will ever be fine without you. There is emptiness in my soul and I'm terrified of facing life without you."
