Putco Mafani wins Best Breakfast Show award

Former Kaizer Chiefs spin doctor Putco Mafani won the Best Breakfast Show Presenter award in the public broadcasting station category.

He also bagged the Hall of Fame award for Umhlobo Wenene FM.  

702 also scooped a number of wards with John Robbie taking two awards.

The station also won Best Sports Reporter, Top News Bulletin Reader, News and Actuality Presenter awards.

The fifth annual awards ceremony was held at the Sandton Convention Centre on Saturday night.

More than 1 000 radio lovers attended the prestigious event.

The awards celebrate campus, community and public broadcasting entities for their hard work.
