IT is suspected that the fires burning this week in Cape Town could have been started by a motorist flicking a stompie out of a car window.
If this is indeed so, then you, you fool, are our moegoe. The fire consumed more than 5000 hectares of vegetation and destroyed 14 homes.
Millions of rands worth of damage, helicopters and planes called in, over 1300 firefighters risked their lives and countless volunteers helped. Miraculously no one lost their life but many animals were not so lucky.
All of this because some fool didn't use the ashtray!
