Having watched Bollywood films in amazement one is always in awe of the colour of the Holi celebrations.

This celebration has become an annual feature in South Afria.

This year with feature top house Djs including DJ Fresh, Lady Lea, Roger Goode, Mark Stent, Royal K, Ozzy Funk and Wilson Fury amongst others.

In India Holi marks the start of spring and the triumph of good over bad.

Its very exciting that South Africa is taking part in this festival that celebrates friendship, unity and of course, colour.

In white clothes, participants gather and like kids, sprinkle different shades of the rainbow, regardless of race, age or creed.

The event was first launched in Germany two years ago.

It has spread to many other countries like South America, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.

Holi celebration will takes place at the Bidvest Cricket Staduim on August 23. 

There are a host of special features including security, food and drink stalls and many other events from noon until late. Tickets start at R255, with early bird tickets available at R205 for the first 1500 tickets sold. Packages and VIP tickets are also available, which include powder bags and other inclusive highlights.
