BIDVEST Wits forward Gabadinho Mhango has attributed his quick settling at the club to having the right people for guidance.

The Clever Boys have won all three of their opening matches, including Saturday's MTN8 semifinal first-leg clash against Cape Town City, who they beat 3-0 at Bidvest Stadium.

Once again, Mhango was one of the key players in that victory.

The Malawian was on the scoresheet as his delightful lob beat ShuAib Walters for the third goal just before the break. Earlier, he also created an assist for Eleazar Rodgers, who scored the opening goal.

"He (Rodgers) is an experienced player and I'm still young. Most of the time he tells me what to do, so I enjoy playing with him," said Mhango, who scooped the Man of the Match award.

"I also follow the instructions of the coach (Gavin Hunt) even though sometimes you follow your own thing. I just want to play well. I do provide the spark because people are telling me what to do.

"The coach believes in me and I'm doing my job - I'm doing my best," he said.

Of Wits' three matches, the 23-year-old has been picked as the Man of the Match in two. Mhango said he was delighted to be part of the club after arriving at Sturrock Park in July and feels he is destined to grow to be a much better player.

"This is a good team for me and this is a big team for me. I'm enjoying playing here at Wits," he added.

Mhango has now scored two goals in three appearances since joining the club, proving to be one of the top signings after he endured a troubled final few months at Bloemfontein Celtic following his decision to dump them for Wits.
