If verbal barbs exchanged by Eric Kapia Mukadi and Sean Ness during a press briefing at Turffontein Race Course on Friday are to be believed, there will be no need for Boxing SA to appoint judges when they collide at the same venue on December 3.

They threatened to do it by themselves within the scheduled six rounds distance. Their international welterweight bout forms part of the nine-bout card of Unleashed Combat Sport pencilled by promoter Shereen Hunter.

Congo-based Mukadi is trained by Manny Fernandes while Ness is under the guidance of trainer Colin Nathan.

Mukadi fired the first salvo. "Sean, you are playing with fire and you are going to get burnt. This is one fight I cannot afford to lose because I am gunning for a rematch with Thulani Mbenge."

Mukadi quit in round four against Mbenge at Emperors Palace last December due to an injury. The loss was Mukadi's first against 19 wins and a draw.

Ness - who last fought in April, retorted: "Eric, I represent water, so the fire will be doused."

Congolese Clement Kamanga and Raymond Kupula headline the bill in the junior welterweight bout.

Kupula warned: "I am not called Killer for nothing," a threat Kamanga laughed off. "I am yet to see Raymond kill someone. " This will be Hunter's fourth fight and it will be broadcast live on channel 239. Action will begin at 1pm.
