Boxing careers of Moruti "Baby Face" Mthalane and Tsiko "Cruel Junior" Mulovhedzi could either bloom or wither this weekend.

Mthalane will oppose Ardin Diale of the Philippines for the vacant IBF International flyweight belt at Mmabatho Convention Centre, North West, tonight.

At the opposite end in Limpopo, Mulovhedzi's IBF Intercontinental welterweight title will be on the line against Columbian Laszlo Toth at Ngoako Ramatlhodi Sports Complex in Seshego, Polokwane, also tonight.

Mthalane is rated No 9, while Diale is yet to get recognition from the IBF ratings committee. Mthalane, 35, cannot afford to lose tonight because his career will virtually come to an end.

In Seshego, Mulovhedzi will also need to retain his IBF Intercontinental belt in order to remain relevant. If he loses to second ranked Toth, he may be relegated to an undercard fighter.
