Defeat not an option for Fuzile

Defeat will not be an option for hot prospect Azinga "Golden Boy" Fuzile when he faces equally adequate foe Rofhiwa "War Child" Maemu on Sunday, warns trainer Mzamo "Chief" Njekanye.

The fight takes place at the Orient Theatre in East London. "There are bigger things in store for Fuzile. We are going to use Rofhiwa as a clear indicator out there that we are ready for the big league," said Njekanye without letting the cat out of the bag regarding his boxer's future prospects.

But top promoter Rodney Berman is toying with the idea of staging a Junior Featherweight Super Four event in October. Berman has mentioned Fuzile in the line-up which could include gifted veterans Simpiwe "V12" Vetyeka and Tshifhiwa "Atomic Spider" Munyai, and Lerato "Lights Out" Dlamini.

Said Berman: "We truly have remarkable talent. The junior featherweight division is especially exciting, positively brimming with talent. Now it's time to see who is the best."

Vetyeka from Duncan Village in the Eastern Cape is remembered for pulling off a remarkable win - a sixth round stoppage - over Indonesian boxing idol Chris John for the WBA Super featherweight belt four years ago, while Munyai, from Makwarela in Venda, has held the Commonwealth bantamweight and IBO junior featherweight straps.

Dlamini, from the Free State, has just won the IBF Youth featherweight title.
