Colombian striker Leonardo Castro is finally available to play‚ and should get a run in Mamelodi Sundowns’ Premier Soccer League match-up against Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

Castro‚ who formed part of last season’s deadly 'CBD' trio along with Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly‚ has not played since Sundowns’ 1-0 home win against Zamalek in the Caf Champion League group stages on July 27.

The big Colombian with a deadly touch has been out because of visa issues bringing his wife and newborn baby to South Africa‚ combined with an ankle injury.

“Castro is back – you saw him in full training‚” Downs coach Pitso Mosimane said after taking his side through their paces in a practice session at their Chloorkop base on Thursday.

“Castro can play maybe 20 minutes‚ not more than that. Because we also need to build him up.”

Castro scored 12 goals in all competitions for Sundowns last season. - TMG Sport
