Sundowns, Chiefs and Pirates handed home draws in TKO quarters

The so-called ‘big guns’ all received home draws in the quarterfinals of the Telkom Knockout with defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns to face SuperSport United in a mouth-watering Tshwane Derby.

Sundowns booked their spot in the Last 8 on Thursday with a 2-0 victory over Polokwane City and were immediately paired with the 2014 competition winners.

Kaizer Chiefs will host Free State Stars in a reunion for coach Steve Komphela with one of his old clubs, while Orlando Pirates entertain Highlands Park.

The fourth match sees Cape Town City travel to Baroka FC for a place in the semifinals.

The matches are scheduled to be played on the weekend of November 5/6, with the Premier Soccer League to announce the exact dates, times and venues at a later stage.
