Ramahlwe hopes for miracle recovery

Mamelodi Sundowns captain Ramahlwe Mphahlele says his chances of playing in the Telkom Knockout at this stage are "50-50".

The right-back sustained an injury at training last week, straining his quad muscle, and has revealed that he feels pain whenever he sprints, putting him dbout for tomorrow.

"We were training and we were doing crossing. I think I used the wrong technique and I stretched my muscle. I went for a scan and they said I have not torn anything, but the surprising thing is that I feel pain when I sprint. But when I run and just do normal movements I do not feel the pain.

"I don't know if I am going to play, but it's better to have someone who is 100% fit than to have someone who is not fit at all."

He added: "I am sure the decision will be made based on the team, not the individual. I have been looking forward to playing, but we can't control what happens in life."
