A victory inspired by the Masukus here last night moved Orlando Pirates into second place in the Absa Premiership.

Without a victory in April, Bucs came from behind against SuperSport United to win 4-1, and the star of the show was 22-year-old midfielder Menzi Masuku - the national under-23 player.

Masuku scored a brilliant brace to lead Bucs to their first victory since March 18.

After Thuso Phala had given the visitors the lead with a cool finish after 16 minutes, the Buccaneers settled and Masuku drew the hosts level two minutes before the break in his first start for the club.

The former under-20 midfielder started and finished the move as he headed home from close range after some poor defending from Matsatsantsa.

Kermit Erasmus bagged Pirates' second in first-half stoppage time, thanks to some great work on the left wing by Khethowakhe Masuku.

The Masuku show was not over just yet.

Ten minutes into the second half, jaws dropped when the young Masuku dribbled his way past a couple of defenders, and just when it looked as though he would lose the ball, he unleashed a powerful shot that gave goalie Ronwen Williams no chance. It was to get worse for the visitors, who conceded a fourth on the hour mark.

Sifiso Myeni put the matter beyond doubt when he netted from close range after receiving a pass from left-back Thabo Matlaba.

United were clearly missing their suspended captain Clayton Daniels in defence.

l Elsewhere , Bloemfontein Celtic beat Chippa United 2 -1, while Polokwane City and Black Aces drew 2-2.

Free State Stars beat Bidvest 1-0.
