SUPERSPORT United captain Clayton Daniels has a number of friends at his former club Ajax Cape Town, but they've been ignoring him throughout the week.

"I am going to play against my homeboys, which is always exciting. [But everyone is quiet. They are ignoring me. We're just liking each others' photos on [social network] Instagram. Maybe they are scared or something, I don't know," the former Mamelodi Sundowns defender said ahead of his side's Nedbank Cup semifinal clash with Ajax at Athlone Stadium tomorrow (8.15pm).

Ajax are a difficult bunch to play against in the Mother City, showing this in their dogged victories over Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits in earlier rounds.

The Urban Warriors last lost at home in October but despite their impressive record at home, SuperSport are not fazed.

"We have the experience of winning the Telkom Knockout Cup [last year]," Daniels said.

"Ajax have a young squad. They have not played in a big game like this one in a while. Hopefully we can take advantage of that. But we cannot take them for granted."

A player Daniels will be keeping an eye on is Ajax's young sensation Riyaad Norodien, the young winger who won the man-of-the-match award in the last round against Wits.

"I have seen this boy grow up. He was in the under-15s when I was at Ajax. He is full of energy and takes players on. He is doing well and I hope he can keep his feet on the ground. He has a bright future ahead of him."
