ANELE Ngcongca was on the winning side on Saturday as his Belgian club Racing Genk recorded their second victory in the league this season as they began life under new manager Alex McLeish.

The Bafana Bafana defender has missed just one of the eight league encounters of the campaign in what has been a tumultuous start, which included their previous manager being fired after the first game of the campaign.

Genk are now up into the top eight but still seven points behind leaders Anderlecht.

Andile Jali's Oostende came back down to earth after their recent run of form and were beaten 3-1 at home by Ghent. They slip to fourth.

In England, midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi and striker Tokelo Rantie remain injured but Dean Furman was back in the Doncaster Rovers' line-up and played in their first home win of the season as they beat Chesterfield 3-2 on Saturday.

Bafana discard May Mahlangu played another full 90 minutes for Swedish club Gothenburg as they beat Gefle 4-0 to move to within eight points of the leaders. They are in fourth place in the Allsvenskan log table.
