AFTER scoring six in their past two games, Orlando Pirates are relieved to have regained their appetite for goals.

The Buccaneers hope to continue to find the back of the net when they take on Polokwane City in an Absa Premiership match at Peter Mokaba Stadium tomorrow.

Kick off is at 3pm.

Pirates tasted their first league win in four games after walloping Mamelodi Sundowns in midweek.

Prior to that, Bucs eliminated Bidvest Wits from the MTN8, beating them 3-1.

Bucs communications manager Mickey Modisane said they want to keep the winning momentum by pocketing their first maximum points against Rise and Shine in Polokwane.

In the corresponding fixture last season, the Limpopo outfit surprised Pirates with a solitary goal by Sipho Jembula, which ended the Soweto giants' title hopes.

Pirates won the first-round game in Orlando by the same margin after defender Rooi Mahamutsa scored with a brilliantly taken long-range shot.

"They beat us last season in Polokwane, so we cannot afford to underestimate them. The good thing for us is that things are beginning to shape up well, we are scoring goals," said Modisane.

"We want to build on the winning momentum to show we are serious about challenging for the league this season."

City are still trying to recover from a 3-2 midweek defeat by Moroka Swallows.

Publicist Abel Mohubedu warned Pirates to expect another shock defeat in Polokwane.

"I saw Pirates playing Sundowns in the midweek game, they were on fire. We have done solid homework and I'm confident we will beat them again."

In the absence of trusted left- back Thabo Matlaba, who was sent off against Sundowns, Pirates coach Vladimir Vermezovic will go for either Patrick Phungwayo or Ayanda Gcaba.

Pirates' back-four must brace themselves to work overtime to contain City's top scorer Puleng Tlolane, who has netted three of the club's five goals so far.
