AJAX Cape Town coach Roger de Sa is cautioning his players against getting too excited about their strong start to the new season.

"We've just got to keep going, we can't be thinking too far ahead," he insisted after Ajax beat Bidvest Wits 3-1 on Tuesday to move to 10 points from their opening four games of the season.

"There were a lot of youngsters out there and they all did well," added De Sa, reserving a special mention for his inexperienced defensive pairing of 20-year-old Abubakar Mobara and 17-year-old Rivaldo Coetzee.

De Sa has stuck with the pair through three successive wins, eschewing the temptation to bring back captain Dominic Isaacs.

"There was no need to change, the youngsters have been doing really well."

The Urban Warriors play again tomorrow at Chippa United in Port Elizabeth.

"Even though they have moved to the Eastern Cape, that will still be a derby of sorts," De Sa added of the former Cape side.

"They will be even more determined after they lost 3-0 in their last game [against Maritzburg United]."

Meanwhile, Buhle Mkhwanazi may be in danger of missing out on Bafana Bafana duty after a hamstring injury kept him out of the Wits defeat at Ajax.

Coach Gavin Hunt said he hoped to have the central defender back for tomorrow night's home game against Moroka Swallows but was not yet sure.

"He has a hamstring strain and I wasn't prepared to risk him. It is one of those injuries that if you play with it, it will get worse and then you don't have the player for two or three games.

"If he is not ready then he cannot go to the national team."
