Aces name new sponsor

MPUMALANGA Black Aces announced International Sports Promotion Society (ISPS) as their new sponsor for the upcoming season yesterday.

Aces launched a new kit, which will bear the logo of their Japan-based sponsors.

“I founded ISPS in 2006 with the intention of supporting charitable causes throughout the sporting world and, when I decided to move into the world of football in Africa, the Black Aces stood out immediately,” said ISPS chairman Dr Haruhisa Handa.

“We would like to thank Dr Handa and his ISPS organisation for their commitment towards Aces and can assure them that we will endeavor to be great brand ambassadors,” said George Morfou, the Aces co-owner.

The club also announced on their website that they had signed Lehlohonolo Nonyane and Given Mashikinya on two-year contracts.

Nonyane, 27, was bought from Jomo Cosmos, where he made 25 appearances. Mashikinya played for Mbombela United last season.

“He is a youngster and we believe he will develop under Clive Barker and is a future prospect that could go all the way,” Aces chairman Mario Morfou was quoted as saying.

AmaZayoni face Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 quarterfinals on Sunday.
