THE Palace Super Falcons duo of Kgadi Mokoma and Chantelle Esau have caught the eye of Banyana Banyana coach Vera Pauw.

The two strikers have been included in the team to play against neighbours Botswana in a friendly at the Vaal University of Technology on Saturday at 3pm.

Russia-based creative midfielder Mpumi Nyandeni and veteran striker Noko Matlou have been recalled to the team.

Pauw said they want to play as many friendlies as possible so that they will have a well-oiled team going to the African Women's Championship finals in Namibia in October.

The countries finishing in the top three bracket in Namibia will represent Africa during the 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada.

"Everything is going well and I'm happy the team is gelling. Our goal is to become a force to be reckoned with in international women's football," said Pauw.

"Playing against Botswana provides another opportunity for us to sharpen our skills and get closer to our goal of finishing in the top three in the African Women's Championship."

Banyana Banyana invited Botswana after Comoros withdrew from the AWC qualifiers, which did not come as a surprise.

South Africa whipped Comoros 13-0 in the first leg with the return game against the Indian Ocean team scheduled to take place on Saturday.

The Banyana Banyana team to play Botswana is:

DEFENDERS: Nothando Vilakazi (Palace), Amanda Sister (Liverpool), Janine van Wyk (JVW), Letago Madiba (TUT), Nomathemba Ntsibande (Springs Home Sweepers), Lebogang Mabatle, Simphiwe Dludlu (both from Tuks), Nelisiwe Mchunu (Moroka Swallows)

MIDFIELDERS: Amanda Dlamini (UJ), Gloria Thato (Tuks), Alocia Thoboka, Sanah Mollo (both from Sundowns), Lebogang Ramalepe (Maindis), Mamello Makhabane, Tina Selepe (both from Palace), Leandra Smeda (UWC), Refiloe Jane (VUT), Nyandeni (Rossiyanka)
