BANYANA Banyana will be more cautious in their approach when they take on Comoros Islands in the capital Moroni on Friday.

This is according to veteran striker Portia Modise ahead of their opening 2014 African Women's Championships qualifier against the Indian Ocean island.

The game (4pm SA time) will be the second fixture in the history of the Comoros team that is guided by former goalkeeper Mohamed Hassane.

"We do not know what to expect from Comoros but there is no way we will underestimate them based on the fact that they have played only one game," said Modise.

"Comoros will be playing at home and will definitely want to impress their fans. Our coaches are busy doing some research on them."

The winners of this two-legged qualifier will book a place in the finals in Windhoek.
