MILANO United might have been lucky to escape with a home draw in the opening match of the Premier Soccer League promotion/relegation play-offs on Wednesday but have promised to play an attacking game in the weekend's second game of the six-match mini-league.

Coach Theo Hempe said of Sunday's away encounter at Black Leopards in Giyani: "We are definitely not going to go and defend and just look for one point."

The youthful Cape Town club twice saw Polokwane City hit their woodwork at Athlone Stadium and were relieved to come away with a goalless draw against their rivals to get their first point of the play-offs.

"We really wanted the three points. In the first half we gave Polokwane City too much space. We were too open and offered them too many chances. I spoke to the guys at half time and tried to keep them positive and motivated. Normally they perform very well when they are motivated. You could see from the second-half performance that the boys put up, they changed their attitude."

Hempe said he wanted to take that spirit to the game in Giyani.

"With a lot of young players sometimes they seem a little overawed by the opposition, especially Polokwane coming from the PSL. With most of them it is the first time they have been in this situation. We understand they're under a lot of pressure," he said.

"But we try to keep everything as light as possible and try to get them to enjoy the occasion and really go out and express themselves. It is no use being negative or playing defensive, so we just want to get them going forward."
