Pirates sign 6 new players

“We are not done yet. There’ll be more players signing” - Irvin Khoza

Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza has unveiled six new signings for the league champions ahead the coming season.

Among the list is former player Onekachi Okonkwo who returned after five years in Switzerland and Qatar.

Last season’s treble winners have also signed the Free State Stars duo of Ayanda Gcaba and Monti Moholo, and Patrick Phungwayo from Wits.

Siya Mngoma, who previously turned out for newly-promoted University of Pretoria, and another youngster, Khethowakhe Masuku from Black Leopards, have also been added to Pirates’ books.

“We are not done yet. There’ll be more players signing,” Khoza said on Monday.

The Buccaneers, who started pre-season training on Monday, are expected to release a number of players from the squad later this week.
