THE much-publicised dispute between Sascoc and Safa will be discussed at a meeting of the soccer body's executive committee in Durban tomorrow.

Sowetan has learnt that executive members have been putting pressure on South African Football Association CEO Robin Petersen to call an urgent meeting to discuss the matter.

The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee appointed a team led by board member Mahomed Mubarak to launch a wide-ranging investigation into Safa. The investigation will cover Bafana Bafana's failure to qualify for the 2012 Afcon finals, the 2010 World Cup finances and preparations for the 2013 Afcon finals. Allegations that Bafana Bafana friendlies in the build-up to the 2010 Fifa World Cup were rigged will also be covered by the investigation.

Safa is against Mubarak's appointment because he used to serve the soccer federation as deputy president.
