SuperSport goes big for Games

SUPERSPORT has acquired the rights to broadcast next year's Olympic Games in London, to run from July 27 to August 12.

In keeping with its policy to go big on the big events, SuperSport has committed to broadcasting the 26-sport Games on multiple channels, including in high definition, plus 24-hour channels.

Each channel will broadcast up to 14 hours of live sport daily, with the broadcast feed produced by the International Olympic Committee. SuperSport will have four news crews in London following South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria and others, while daily highlights packages will also be broadcast.

A special Olympics weekend show, London Calling , that will include special guests and athletes.
